BT TOWER - LONDON

BT When it was time to change the name on one of London's most famous landmarks, who was there to provide access and support? TRAD, of course.
Interiors were contracted by BT who needed to replace their old "piper" logo with the new device on the BT Tower and called in TRAD to provide the access.
The scaffolding was cantilevered out from the 35th floor and rose to the 37th. A combination of tube and fitting and Layher modular scaffolding was used, the structure was 555ft high and was fully sheeted. None of the tubes were longer than three metres, allowing them to be taken up in the Tower's lifts. The project duration was over seven months, and employed a full-time on-site Supervisor.
Apart from the operational success of the scheme, TRAD and Interiors were pleased to note that as well as being finished on time, it was also completed within budget (Clients please take note)
